Daily Snap: Stuck Again!
4th Floor, IAB
Another vending machine item gets stuck and buying another didn't help because you're still short one dark chocolate M&M. And this time, I couldn't get it out and make it back to Microeconomics in time.
Daily Snap: Floaters
Broadway and 125th
Trash began landing around me and I looked up just in time to see it fluttering, floating down from the sky. Or someone's window. New York, baby.
Daily Snap: Sticks and Stones
My Bedroom
Sticks and stones may... crack me up when sent in a care package! Okay, no sticks were included, but a pine cone is pretty close. Thank you all for making my week. What a wonderful surprise! The whole box smelled like pine cones, cinnamon candy, and good ol' red chile.
Daily Snap: Postcards
My desk
Despite the wonder of the Internet, I love mail. Real, papery, stamped, snail mail. And lately, I love sending postcards. They're so inviting, just asking to be read by the receiver or the mailman or the roommate who shares a mailbox. It's like dropping by to say hello unannounced and far, far better than text messaging. Anyway, I often take pictures of the mail I send to jog my memory and sometimes it comes in handy, like when one of C's postcards got caught in the rain. This one went to my book-loving kid sister, appropriately. Recognize it?
Daily Snap: Roof Garden
Roof Garden, Metropolitan Museum of Art
Although the picture of Carnegie Hall doesn't do it any justice, especially not its accoustics, I thought it should make the cut anyway. Fall semester started, so I biked to the Met between classes to have lunch with my mom then we enjoyed an evening concert. Thanks for visiting, C and Mom, and now it's back to school.
Daily Snap: Bridgeline
We walked over the Brooklyn Bridge to see this particular (and other) fantastic views, but as usual, did it with a crowd. This would probably top my must-do list for a visit to New York.
Daily Snap: Mom*
View of the Hudson from the Cloisters, Manhattan
*Happy birthday (today, not 9.6) Mom! And happy birthday, C!
